Having Much to Write

Hey, All!

I'm excited about starting this writer's site, and I've decided to call it "Having Much to Write".

It just seems like my fingers need to put into writing what I remember about my childhood, stories from my mother and her beloved Ireland, stories about families and friends, and well, just stories.

Most of my writing is short stories...I probably have the attention span of a 2 year old...but I am currently working on some long, lengthy stories that I hope will be done by September.

I'm busy writing for a couple of Christian e-zines (that's web speak for magazines on line) and I'm entering some writing competitions that are Christian and secular.  I'm particularly hoping to see a good response for some things I'm sending out to Chicken Soup for the Soul....we'll see if I can get those dumplings thrown into that pot LOL!

Hey, I would love to hear from you, know your opinions, know what you like to read and what you'd like to see written.  I take my story lines from people and places I've known and seen, and well, I haven't even begun to start!

Please, check out my blog page...and check out where else you'll be able to read some stuff I'm writing, and stuff I've written in the past...I'm hoping to dig up some real "golden oldies" for your reading enjoyment.

In the meantime, God Bless You and please enjoy my pages!

Author  Marina Rojas

A child of the 60’s, Marina Rojas grew up in a family that was more crazy than dysfunctional, spending most of her time avoiding contact with other members of the same species at all costs. Reading her way through childhood, writing stories became a past time that allowed her to keep fond memories of times that were good and not so really great. All for prosperity and for the sake of being able to look back, laugh at it all and cheer “I made it!” in spite of it all.

Working currently as a freelance writer with a few publications available on Smashwords, Marina is also a featured blogger for the amazing Success and Failure website and is a brand new blogger at ChristianWriters.com. Retired after 28.5 years with the State of California Employment Development Department as a manager, Marina has written stories and worked as an editor for FaithWriters Magazine. A FaithWriters Challenge Winning short story called Will I Have the Right Shoes? was published in the Fall 2004 Edition of the FaithWriters Christian book Learning for Life.   Marina also wrote local interest stories for the Press Enterprise newspaper in Riverside, CA, and is now reliving her childhood and tumultuous teen years in her stories.
